Through the project, we aim to address critical fundraising skills gaps in the CCS and adapt vocational education and training (VET) programs to better match sector requirements.
As part of this effort, the FABRIKA platform makes creative funding easier to access. It brings together grant opportunities from more than 20 sources in one place and supports professionals with practical guides to help them apply with confidence.
Bábel is a grassroots collective of artists and cultural workers exploring knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and new forms of community. Through summer camps and year-round learning circles, we build a solidarity-based network beyond institutional frameworks.
About
KULTURLINK is a non-profit cultural foundation, dedicated to the promotion and preservation of open, critical and diverse culture. Our mission is to provide opportunities for cultural engagement and education through a wide range of events and programs. From performances to presentations, festivals to talks, and camps to conferences, we aim to nurture collaborative and inclusive cultural projects.
Our operation is based around 1) creating and executing international projects and productions, 2) functioning as an umbrella association supporting artists and initiatives resonating with our intentions, and 3) becoming an active member of the European cultural network.
Within the framework of the organisation there are three pillars each focusing on a different segment of the cultural field: film, culture and community, and art. As part of 'Culture and Community' KULTURLINK is already taking an active role in organising an annual community camp based around knowledge sharing where participants collectively search for grass root development, building an alliance outside the formal institutional frameworks. Another initiative of this pillar is striving to change the status quo of the cultural sector, offering workshops and roundtables where cultural workers can exchange experiences and unite to create better working conditions. Within the 'Art' segment the foundation is a committed organiser of exhibitions and collaborative partnerships that circumvent or go beyond conventional frameworks of the fine art scene. Finally the ‘Film' division of the foundation concentrates on 1) distribution, promotion and impact campaigns of independent film projects and 2) using films for educational purposes.
Our focus is on socially sensitive, interdisciplinary art projects, which aim to ask questions and reflect on the processes taking place in our society through current topics. Our overall mission is to strengthen the independent cultural sphere and support grassroots initiatives by creating an international network of artists, institutions and audiences. We believe that we can learn and develop by working together and creating a resilient and supportive environment.
